League Communication
IIcwcccMessenger/Group Board
Always check messenger and the group for any new messages or updates.
Sleeper App
League communication can also occur in the Sleeper App, but I'd wager this will mostly be used for trash talk.
Polls
Occasionally there will be things that need voting on such as trades or rule changes. The polls will be set for a certain amount of time only (e.g. 2 days, 1 week, etc.). A super majority rule will be in effect for all league centric proposals or polls. The commissioners will periodically clean up the older or unused polls.
Scoring
Please see the scoring settings in Sleeper.
** different than some leagues
- QB Pass TD = 5 points
- TE ppr = 1.5 points
- RB/WR ppr = 1 point
Scoring rules may not be changed once the season has started.
Playoffs
CHAMPIONSHIP BRACKET
The top 4 records in the league will advance to the Championship bracket. With the top 2 records getting a BYE. The final 2 playoff spots are decided by the remaining teams with the highest points scored for the season. Top 4, then next 2 highest scores. The playoffs will determine draft order for the entire field of 6 playoff teams.
Seeding
Top two teams by record are seeds 1 and 2, then points for as a tiebreaker if needed. Seeds 3 and 4 are decided by overall record, then points for as a tiebreaker. The final 2 teams to make the playoffs are seeds 5 and 6 by points scored.
Matchups
Round 1 Matchups (Week 15)
- 3 v 6
- 4 v 5
Round 2 Matchups (Week 16)
- 1 v (Lowest Seed)
- 2 v (Highest Seed)
Playoff teams that lose Round 1 do not play again but their draft order is decided by pts scored Round 1.
Round 3 (Week 17)
- Championship Round
- 3rd Place Game (Decides Draft Order)
LAST PLACE IN THE LEAGUE WILL HAVE TO EXECUTE THE PUBLIC EATING OF A BAMFDLWICH. BAMFDLWICH = a sandwich comprised of three ingredients, chosen by the league champion, off a list of 12 ingredients that the commissioners will decide. This has to be conducted on fbook live at a date agreed upon by the league.
Supplemental Draft Order
Draft order is decided in two parts. Picks 1-6 are decided by the regular season record. Lowest regular season record gets pick 1 and so on. Tiebreaker used is Total Points. Picks 7-12 are decided by Championship Bracket results. Teams eliminated in round 1 of the playoffs will have picks 7-8. The highest scoring team of Playoff Round 1 will get the later pick (8) and so on throughout the playoffs with the league winner getting pick 12. The championship game and the 3rd place game will decide those teams draft picks.

Line-Ups
Franchise owners are responsible for submitting their weekly starting line-ups prior to kickoff of their individual player's NFL games each week. Players are locked in / out of the starting line-ups at kickoff of their games. If there are extenuating circumstances where you are not able to set your lineup, contact the league commissioners ASAP. Such issues will be dealt with on a case by case basis and if needed, voted on by the league with a supermajority 8/12 needed to settle a dispute.
The website host determines the exact time of each kickoff and will not allow changes to players in those games after that point. Therefore it is in your best interest to not wait until the last second to submit your line-up as once the window is closed.
Trades
Trades may be made between two or three owners on a nearly unrestricted basis. The trade does not necessarily have to exchange an equal number of players from each team. However, at no time may a team carry more than 25 active players on their roster.
Trades may include current players on your roster and/or picks from future drafts (up to two years in advance). THE SLEEPER APP ALLOWS YOU TO TRADE UP TO THREE YEARS OUT. Only two years in advance is our league's rule. Ex: In 2020, 2023 Supplemental Draft picks are not eligible for trade, only 2021 and 2022. In 2021...2022 and 2023 will be available to trade, but not 2024.
Taxi Squad players are also eligible to be traded. Keep in mind that you are not able to add anybody to your Taxi Squad after the regular season begins.
Commissioners have final say on all trades if the trades appear to violate any rules.
Only trades that are deemed harmful to the overall integrity of the league or deemed as collusion will be rejected by the commissioners. Unethical practices are delineated in their own section in this document. But trades that appear unfair or lopsided will not be declined by the commissioner. In dynasty format, anything can happen and we want owners to feel the freedom to build their team how they would like.
Trades can be made via the Sleeper app. Trades involving a devy pick need to be conducted off of the Sleeper App, and when a deal is finalized, Fbook message a commissioner so they can process the trade for you.
Commissioners will have a maximum of 48 hours during the season to consider a trade or else it is processed by Sleeper automatically. If a trade is agreed upon within 24 hours of a line-up deadline, league commissioners do have the power to push it through individually assuming ...
- They feel there is no question to the validity of the trade
- None of the players in the deal have already played a game that week
No trades submitted for commissioner review after kickoff of any of the involved players' games will be approved until after the kickoff of the last game of that week. As long as the players involved in the deal have not played their weeks game, the trade is eligible for processing.
Commissioners have the right to push a trade through immediately if agreed upon by the two parties.
Seasonal Calendar
STARTUP DRAFT
The order of the startup draft will be random.
Our startup draft will consist of 30 rounds. At any point throughout the draft you will be able to select a veteran, or a Supplemental Draft pick.
For instance, at 1.4, you can choose Lamar Jackson, or 1.01 in the Supplemental Draft.
All draft picks are tradeable. The draft will begin on Saturday 6/6 at 8am. You will have 8 hours to complete your pick in the Sleeper App. If you are choosing a Supplemental Draft pick, pick a DB and then comment in the fbook group chat which Supplemental Draft pick you are selecting and we will update the BAMFDL google doc.
At the conclusion of the start up draft we will remove the DBs from your team and then begin the Supplemental Draft.

Taxi Squad
The taxi squad is designed to allow owners to protect a small amount of potential players without holding up a roster spot on the team.
Every team is allowed 5 10 players in addition to their 25man roster to be named as the taxi squad. Players who have been in the NFL for 3 years or less are eligible to be on the taxi squad.
Your devy players will be stored on the BAMFL google doc.your taxi squad.
All of your taxi squad selections are locked once the season begins, and you will not be able to add to your taxi squad, however you can move someone from your taxi squad to your active roster.
Rookie/Devy Supplemental Draft
A 5 round rookie/devy snake draft will occur at the beginning of June on Facebook in the BAMFL group. Each owner will have 8 hours to choose a player. From midnight to 8am CST the draft timer can be paused if the owner would like. All picks will be made in the Facebook group and all trades need to be announced to a commissioner as well as in the group page. Trades for future year draft picks are allowed.
Beginning in the 2022 Supplemental Draft, the draft order will change from a snake draft to a linear draft. Example: if Norman gets last in 2021, his Supplemental Picks would be worth 1.01/2.01/3.01/4.01/5.01.
Throughout the draft, when it is your turn to pick, an owner can choose to use their pick to either select a rookie, or devy player. Every owner will only be allowed to have 5 devy players on their roster at any given time.
Devy picks will be added to the BAMFDL google doc, and managed by the league commissioners. We will track who is on which team, as well as trades involving devy players.
Trades involving a devy pick need to be conducted off of the Sleeper App, and when a deal is finalized, Fbook message a commissioner so they can process the trade for you.
All devy picks and trades will be recorded in the Shared Google Drive. Any current rookie/NCAA eligible player can be chosen from the player pool.
Player Acquisition / Free Agents / Blind Bidding
All free agents will be acquired using daily Free Agent Acquisition Budgets.
Free Agents:
This league uses a Blind Bidding system to acquire free agents.
Blind Bidding waivers happen for a 48 hour period when a) a player gets dropped from another team's roster or b) a player enters an NFL game and is already a free agent. At the beginning of the season, all teams are given $50 in bidding dollars. To pick up a player off waivers, you must put in a bid. The team that has the highest bid for that player will get him. Since this is a blind bidding process, no one knows what the others are bidding. Once all the bids are processed, first-come-first-served waiver will start Tuesday at 12pm CST.
- Bid minimum is $0.
- If you win the bid at $28, and the next highest bid was $19, you still pay $28 for your player.
- If there is a tie bid, the player is awarded to the team with the highest waiver order.
- Note that if you wish to receive one player over another then it will be required that you submit a higher monetary bid on that player as there is no priority when submitting your bids.
Any player not currently on an active league roster is a free agent (NFL players only). There is no waiver for devy players, they are only available via the Supplemental Draft and trading with another owner. Max of 5 devy players allowed on your roster.
If your team roster is full and you acquire a player, then you must drop a player.
Players picked up are available immediately for that week's action or for trade to another team.
"Dropped Players" and "Waiver Wire Transactions" are final. That being said, from time-to-time owners accidentally drop players. The owner might confuse player's names or simply click the wrong button. When this happens, just contact the commissioners and they will correct it. It is imperative that we are notified prior to the player going through Blind Bidding. If the player is awarded to another team during Blind Bidding it is final.
Blind Bidding will start approximately 24 hours after draft completion and will run weekly until the season ends.
Unethical Practices
WARNING: Participating in any of the following practices may result in your dismissal from the BAMFL. If your actions are deemed unethical and detrimental to the league by a majority of the commissioners, a vote will then be taken by your fellow owners regarding your continued participation in the league. Owners will have a period of 2 days to cast their vote by PM or email. At the end of that period super-majority rules.
If found "guilty", that franchise will be locked out of the league indefinitely. The team's roster and starting line-up will also be locked until such time as suitable replacement owner can be found. The owner will also forfeit all sand and/or actual dollars that were submitted as part of the league fee.
Unethical practices as defined above, include the following:
Collusion
Agreement between two or more competitors that restrains competition and intends to deceive or otherwise defraud the league through unethical methods.
Willful destruction of one's own team
Includes dumping quality players via waivers or trades with no explainable rationale or gain; purposely starting hurt, benched, or bye week players while sitting better viable options; etc.
Tanking
Tanking is intentionally leaving more than one BYE, Injured, NFL Inactive, or Empty spot in your starting roster on any given week. (All violations will be at the Commissioner's discretion if offender tries to come up with an excuse)
A 3 strike rule will be in effect if someone is found guilty of tanking. {1st Offense: Commissioner Warning} {2nd Offense: Commissioner Warning + Public Shaming} {3rd Offense: Loss of that owner's 1st Round Draft Pick in the next year owner has a pick.}
This should discourage tanking and keep the league fair. Don't be lame, don't tank.
Other
Any other activities deemed unethical and detrimental to the integrity of the league as a whole will be at the commissioner's discretion.
Owner Retirement
If an owner wants to drop out of the league they need to let the commissioners know ASAP, so we can find a replacement owner. A new owner will be found first by using the waitlist and then from recommendations of other owners. If there are multiple owners to choose from we will have applications to be filled out by prospective owners.
We strongly encourage you to retire before the rookie draft takes place if at all possible. Leaving your team unowned before the draft is much easier to fill the spot then if you have already drafted your team.
Waitlist definition: Recommendations for future owners can be placed on a waiting list (one per/current owner per/yr). This list will be reviewed during such times of an owner retirement or if a team becomes available through any other reason as defined by this document.
Final review and acceptance will be made by a vote of the commissioners. If for any reason the commissioners cannot come to an accord then it will put to a league vote.
If there are at least two teams to drop out at once, all of the new team's players will go into a snake draft with the new owner's making a pick to build their new team from scratch of those available in the player pool including free agents. At this point a second chance draft can also be triggered by existing owners if requested and the conditions have been met. The second chance draft will consist of the new owners and existing owners who are looking to participate. See Second Chance Draft details below.
Second Chance Draft
The second chance draft is when an owner relinquishes all of his assets to a dispersal draft and gets to take part in a snake draft to assemble a new team.
Whenever two or more new teams are joining the league, or if three or more owners contact the commissioner before the opening of free agency, a second chance draft can be requested.
Only teams who have finished in the bottom 75% of points scored for three consecutive years may participate in the draft. Top 25% teams are not allowed to participate. Total points will be the deciding factor not total record.
A minimum of three seasons must go by in between each second chance draft in order to raise another one unless new owners join. If two or more new owners join the league, one owner still can not participate if three seasons have not gone by for him. All assets including players, rookie picks, devy players, etc. must be entered into the draft.
The order will be determined at random. The new incoming owners (if applicable) getting the first shot at choosing draft order. The rest of the order will be determined by a random draw.
This is to allow stale owners to spark life into their teams but will be restricted for every three years per owner so as to not form a habit of reformulating a team. The first year the second chance draft will be eligible is 2021. All second chance drafts must take place before free agency is opened up for that offseason.
Rule Changes
Any rule change requests need to be brought up in the BAMFDL Facebook group in the off-season February-Regular season. As soon as rule changes are proposed and there are at least two owners who would like to cause a vote, then a vote can held by the Commissioner. A super-majority 8/12 is needed for a rule change. The terms of the rule will usually take effect two years later unless there is need for it to be an immediate change or it does not affect current roster's scoring.
No rule changes will be made after the regular season starts unless deemed necessary by the commissioner in extreme circumstances. We encourage owners to be involved and so rule changes are listened to if there is a super-majority view.
Commissioners' posts are the only official means for a rule change to take place. All owners can speak up, propose changes, etc. but until a commissioner posts a vote, it will not be an official rule change proposal. The commissioner will determine if there is enough interest in polling the change. Rules/Bylaws will be updated upon poll outcome. The commissioner has the right to decline a rule change request.
